Banlieue 13 (2004), known as "District 13" here..

Just came back from watching this show..

You know how it's like.. at first you came to a movie without much expectation.. let alone a high one.. what's more, the show is in French and subtitled in English.. so there you go.. i was tired from standing throughout the day.. almost sleepy at times already..

Then again this show ain't like any other show that i've been to recently.. even from the start, the audience was immediately presented with a pleasant long running filmography from the scene of a wall of B-13, down the street, through the cables, up the pipe, and ended in a room.. focusing on a guy here with tattoo n stuff.. all of these, while passing by couple of rough looking fella with tattoos and carrying guns at specific location..

This show is tense even from the beginning.. but i was even more surprised, and very much delighted, when the actor began doing a Parkour (a sport, which consists of moving freely in a natural area including climbing on buildings and taking on whatever is in your way)..

storyline.. really interesting.. twist and stuff.. makes one think throughout the show (unless fighting scene kicks in, then your brain rest for awhile to absorb the choreography).. what really amazes me is how the director is able to capture the chasing scene when Parkour breaks out.. it all seems like one smooth ride for the moviegoers to follow Leïto jumping all over the place..

for those who prefer to read the synopsis first before going for the movie:

all in all i give it (personally from me): 4 out of 5, meaning - it's a MUST WATCH..

why? 3 reasons why:
1. let's support international movie..
2. cos i said so..
3. the guy can do Parkour!! what more do you want?

note: my personal thanks to Jeremy for introducing me to the movie.. never regret every second of it..
