the guys to the rescue (flood in Cana)

Today after Miracle Cafe, some of us stay back while the Miracle Movie was on. The girls just left for their coffee or dinner outing. It was a good thing some of us was still hanging out there, having conversation with tanteE. We noticed couple of people used the toilets and to our surprise we discover that it was starting to flood but none mentioned about it. A few days back the place already got flooded before, water coming out from the lavatory because of something got stuck on the pipeline. The hardest hit was one from the Disabled toilet. As Vincent tried to flush the toilet seat suddenly we noticed that the water was coming out of the drainage on the floor. Along with it the poo-poo.

Yeap, there was poo-poo everywhere. Not too much but the smell was very very obvious. Suddenly we all make ourselves useful and think of ways to fix it. By the way, the word "poo-poo" will be mentioned heaps. Don't even try to look up the word "poo-poo" for this posting cos it's gonna be heaps. Ok. Now, Vincent was planning to go soon but he stayed back to give his hand and expertise. Some of the guys were inside operating the movie and later joined, Chris and Andreas. So first on the line-up was us three, Vincent, AndrewC, and myself trying to sweep as much water onto the guy's toilet cos the drainage there is working properly.

By then the smell of poo-poo has starting to become familiar for us. Soon we attempt to use the vaccuum to do the job. The fellas on the front line were Vincent and Edo. AndrewC suggested, "let's go out and get some fresh air". UncleJ was informed about this and so he called the plumber over. By the time the movie was over I had already came out with couple of jokes. They were "man, my arm pit actually smell better at the moment", and "let's have Indian food after this". Jokes are much needed in times of distress (or in this case, where there are smells of poo-poo).

With the help of Chris and Andreas, we manage to disinfect the place. We used heaps of green and yellow fluids. The plumber came, he checked the back of the building and used a machine called "Blok-Buster" and 'drill' down the pipeline. By now uncleJ cleaned most of the toilet seats already getting into the action. TanteE been pouring hot water in order to clean the vaccuum that we used as we're cleaning it. Must say, we were worried earlier that the toilets might not be operable by tomorrow during Sunday Service (not a good news for people with bladder problem).

Praise God, after sometime we were asked to flush all the toilets at the same time and the drainage has been working properly again. Chris and myself mop the whole floor cos we've been walking all over it when trying to dry up the corridor area of the floor from the flood. Tiring day, but at least we all manage to disinfect and 'sanctified' the place. Thanks to all the guys. I can't believe I say this but it turns out to be quite fun (note to self: please shower again once reach home). Everyone have a great service tomorrow!! God bless!!
