CHC Indonesia Night

We had Indonesian Night event today 7pm to 10pm at Jurong West building Main Auditorium. Pst. Kong led a brief preaching session (with all the pastors attending) after the attendees had dinner on level 4 & 5 and once settled in the auditorium a host of game, performances (by Maluccas), testimonies (family couple, a doctor and GPdI Sidoarjo's pastors), video trailer, and Praise & Worship. It was EXPLOSIVE!!

What I took out of the meeting is Pst. Kong's passion to reach out to Indonesian. The revelation of our spiritual heritage (of being Indonesian) and the phrase "Semua Bisa Diatur".. lol..

Mostly I thank God for this meeting because it is in-line with what I've been experiencing these couple of days/weeks. I've viewed my friend's photo albums (he's leading in his church in Australia) and have had quite a number of encounter/partial-revelation that really awakens my long forgotten passion to reach out to Indonesian and creating that close-knit family group.

By God's timing and grace may I be found worthy to lead in that capacity again.

CHC BV Audition

Today the CHC Choir Ministry held a BV (Back-up Vocals) Audition.. i went for it at Jurong West building.. who would have thought me having been singing for so many years.. and have lead praises and worships (as a worship director) back in Aflame Community Church can still feel very nervous going for the audition.. i did Stop and Stare by One Republic in C and had great fun.. was asked to sing 1 praise (The Time Has Come) and 1 worship (Captivated) as well.. got so shaky that i almost forgot some of the words.. lol.. the panel of judges were Brandon, Franxis and Brian.. they asked me to do an Indonesian worship song also.. since it had been ages that i sang any Indonesian worship songs i gave my best shot at one of the old ones i remember.. am very relieved i gave my best.. overall they liked it and commented i need to keep watch on diction since english is our second language.. glad i went for it.. glad i get to share the time with my mates in CHC Choir Ministry like Jordan, Selwyn, etc.

someone was stealing prawns in a market

I was accompanying my mom today to the market. It was the small one between our place and Tiong Bahru Plaza. We walked a bit and bought chicken at first. Then we came to this crowded booth that was selling prawns. At first I notice this guy in blue polo and was wondering why he lifted his hand towards the stall owner. Was he trying to make order or something. Then after 1 minute or so me and mom walked away. She was telling me cautiously, that lady is stealing prawns and putting it in her plastic bag. By then the guy was holding his foldable handphone. Couple of seconds later he speaks out in an audible voice, "this lady is stealing your prawns". True enough the guy who was selling the prawn came out and ask to look into her plastic bag. At first she took out a handful of prawns - about 4 of them. Then my mom told me she put quite a lot underneath the plastic bag and try to cover them. The guy kept insisting that the lady return all of it. My mom came out and pointed to the lady saying she also saw her stealing the prawns. I was shocked that such incident do happen. And am impressed my mom is bold enough to step up and voiced out what she saw. All this happen in a day at the market this morning when I accompany my mom to the market.
