CD - Have a very Merry Chrismukkah

So yeah.. on Sunday after Church service and lunch at the Chatters', I was reminded by Cindy (aka Yen2) about the Christmas gift that she wanted weeks ago. I was pursuaded to go with her to JB Hi-Fi to grab her the "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason" soundtrack album. In exchange, she would purchase me an album of my choice. Apparently, I have been hearing (or reading online articles, mostly) good things about the third instalment from the OC music mix ("The OC Mix 3: Have a very Merry Chrismukkah") and so I decided to have that as my Christmas gift from her. A bit wierd since we bought them separately at the counter and then passed around after making the purchase. Not forgetting to wish each other "Merry Christmas (and hope you enjoyed the CD)" (which I believe we will *shrug*).

I am going to say this.. "I miss the OC.."

The second season has already started in US but not down-under. Been updating myself on the story from the OC's official website and elsewhere. I can't wait to watch them all (reading the episodes are great. But it'll be greater watching the casts performing on screen). By the way, I stumbled upon a great screen capture of Seth and Summer in one of the second season episode (which I am aware that most of you OC fans out there might have already figured out from which episode anyway). So enjoy..

ps. Vincent.. I think you might like the track "Last Christmas" from this album (performed by Jimmy Eat World) 'cos it is so upbeat. I simply love it!!

picture - Christmas Summer Fun

(Firstly, apologies for slow loading because there are heaps of photos from this post)
A lot has taken place just within this recent week (or weekend, to be exact). I manage to take couple of shots from my digital camera. "Picture paints a thousand words"

Friday
It's a wonderful day. Myself and Janice went to Christmas carol where Angeline was performing. We follow uncle Larry and family there. It wasn't that hot on Friday but rather windy towards the night.

Saturday
Young Adult Care Group members were invited to Stephanie's 22nd bday. Apparently us guys bought her Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone because she lost hers three weeks ago. But without proper research it turns out that she has already recovered her mobile a week after it was lost. While the ladies went to the restroom we all had a great laugh of whether we should switch the present or not. Thankfully she really appreciates the gift. On the first photo Stef hid herself because I wasn't in the picture.

Sunday
Sunday after Church service we went for lunch at the Chatters' (Boy am I loving it). We had a long discussion afterward about what to do in the afternoon. Ended up some of the folks came to my place for watching some VCDs. We grabbed some snacks and drinks at the 24 hour deli. Those that came were Chris (iZ), Edo, Intan, and Vincent, plus myself and Janice.

personal - Christmas comes early this year

Today is extremely hot. But not as hot as what tomorrow may bring according to the weather report. I was almost melting and I've got to go to Curtin Uni to ask about the graduation invitation. My sister in Indo might need the invitation to ask for extension of her visiting visa. Turns out since my final result hasn't come out yet I could not ask for one.

I did a little bit of gardening/weeding today. How I hate those ants creeping around my lawn. I was practically throwing the ant sands everywhere as I found couple of their nests and the route that they took. I will have to do the lawn mowing pretty soon. Maybe this Saturday. Have to keep in mind to do that around 5:30pm onwards as the heat is just unbearable.

Had a call from Jenn in the afternoon. She'll be going back to Indo tonight and so we arranged to have dinner at Prima Taste Express (the place where Meli works). Left my house around 7:45pm with Jenn, Janice, and myself we visited the restaurant where Meli works. I had a great time catching up. And plus we had a special guest, as it turns out that uncleJ also drop by there for dinner. The four of us seated at one table ate and chatted till the restaurant close shop.

Christmas truly came early this year because Jenn bought me a present t-shirt when she came to my place (thank you Jenn). I had the priviledge of treating her for the dinner. As she was browsing through the photos I had on my digital camera and I talked her through, it just seems that time really flies for one year. Having a good ol' time sitting down and sharing with Jenn, uncleJ, and myself it feels great. Like what Jenn said, "I'm really happy how it turns out tonight".

personal - Scarborough Beach

Well, today is the day we hit the beach. Arming ourselves with the protection of sun-block SPF30 or more we got into our car and just hit the road (towards the beach). There were only a handful of us but I must say I had a great time. This morning myself and my sis, Janice, went to visit her old school at St Andrew's Grammar school as she wanted to see the changes since she left for St Frayne Ursula. They have got new buildings on the empty land and locations of places have been moved. Afterward we went to Chatter for take-away for our lunch (ps. I am currently crazy for the foods and services there at the Chatter!!). Mr. Edo and iZ came over to our place by the time we got home. Then I went to pick up Rhys from his house, on my way dropping iZ to DIMIA. Around 4:30pm we meet up at Cana with Vincent. The six of us drove to Scarborough beach and the photos below says it all.

right: the gang who went away hunting for food finally came back (and they pose)

btw, I'm so happy that the site meter today has hit 2,000 visitors!! Woo-hoo..

personal - finished my thesis

I just emailed the final (whole) thesis to my supervisor. Now all I have to do is wait for the result to come out. What I want to say at the moment is... "YiPPeeE!!"

iZ, I believe it's time for us to hit the beach and check out the girls. It's gonna be a fine summer. "Heck, where did I keep my swimming trunks?"
